Arrived

After a fairly uneventful flight, I have finally arrived in Kuwait. It is a relief to be here considering I was running almost a month behind schedule. Right now I am sitting in my apartment, which is not to shabby. I am drinking an expensive dunkin donuts coffee and watching 1 of the only 4 english channels that are on the tv, all of which are news. I didn't manage to get any sleep on the way over so my body is unsure of which time it actually is. The lack of sleep can't be blamed on to much coffee, as the only coffee I have had in the last 24 hours was a $7 cup of coffee( nothing special) in Frankfurt airport.

I got to the apartment around 10 p.m. and found the place to be fairly nice. Below are some pictures of the place and the McDonalds across the street.

Not too shabby indeed!! I'll bet a beer would have tasted good about now - or is it breakfast time? It will probably take a day or two to get your jet lagged legs under you. Any idea when you get shown to the job site?

Hey Brett!!
Well, it's not too bad at all, and with a Mcdonalds across the street it leaves no room for complaints!! Other than, like Stella said.....A beer likely would have been wonderful after that long trip there. Be sure to keep us updated on how the new job goes. We look forward to hearing from ya......take care and keep in touch!

Hey Brett - Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. This blog is such a great idea - we are really enjoying learning about your adventure. Glad to hear the weather was 20 there. Right now it is -54 here with the windchill - but only -45 without the windchill. LOL. Anyways, take care of yourself. We look forward to the next post.
